Project:

Relocation of prefabricated building for Rugby Club

Value: £50k

scope of work

Our team was tasked with decommissioning and relocating a sectional building previously used as a GP surgery, in collaboration with NHSPS (NHS Property Services), who donated it to a local rugby club and charity.

Our scope included dismantling, transporting, and re-assembling the building with weatherproofing. Additionally, we reconditioned the site to satisfy Local Authority standards, involving safe service isolation, hazard mitigation through landscaping, and restoring the site with graded, seeded grass to match adjacent finishes.

challenges faced

Challenges arose due to previous vandalism and squatting, necessitating careful clearance. The prefabricated units required dismantling and crane transportation through narrow residential roads, posing logistical and safety challenges, including high-risk crane operations and large vehicle movements in a densely populated setting. However, our team’s meticulous planning and coordination meant we were able navigate these obstacles successfully.

outcome

The project's success surpassed physical tasks, allowing us to contribute meaningfully to the community. Clearing the site enabled the charity to engage youth through rugby, reflecting our dedication to supporting charitable initiatives – we're proud to deliver not only construction services but also foster community well-being where possible.
